The Police's response to your sons bike getting nicked reminds me of something that happened to me recently, a woman posted on a local facebook trade chain that her sons mountain bike which was brand new and a rare distinct model was stolen from their garage so she asked people to keep a look out for it, thinking logically about where someone would pawn that sort of thing I hopped on ebay and found 2 auctions for the same type of bike, one of the auctions was in the same town that this women lived in, so I notified her of the auction, advised her to pop along to the guy who was selling the bike on ebay, take a friend with her and just enquire to see the bike before auction end, she did this, then as advised, she left the place once she'd confirmed the bike was her sons and she phoned the cops, when the cops came they checked the guys other items for sale and almost 99% of it was stolen. Do cops not think logically too ? and check ebay, scrapyards etc or can they just not be ar$ed, apparently this guy, bought lots of stolen items off of the local alcoholics and druggies who steal stuff to fund their habits, then he flogs it quick and cheap on ebay the same day or the same week and then the stuff ends up all over the country. With a bit of help from me, this woman got her sons bike back and the cops smashed a major selling point for locally nicked stuff. People like the driver of the 406, usually have more "under their belt" than just a dodgy car, the guy might not have even had insurance or even a taxi licence and by investigating the cops could have cleared up other crimes too, but they just don't think logically, do they ?
