Nah, the problem is that we aren't the people who watched the movies back then - we're older and changed by our life experiences and growing maturity (well, for most of us, at least) which has changed what are tastes and expectations are.

Yeah, that's what I mean't.

The only reason we probably like the film in the first place is because we were naive impressionable kids.

I used to love Led Zeppelin between the ages of 18-22, they I realized that they are nothing but the equivalent of a 70's King of Leon.

After developing my taste I don't keep holding on to old habits, I moved on.
