I have replied to your other film thread. I think that your outlook on films is pretty horrible and not appropriate at all to properly appreciate films.
Slightly patronising no? I for one agreed with his opinion on both The Thing and Drive... doesn't mean we can't appreciate films because we don't like a film that seems to be getting a ton of praise? No Country For Old Men was another, I "partly" enjoyed it, the acting was superb, but it dragged... I'm all for a slow burner and it went on another 10 minutes that it didn't need to.... Personally, currently if I was to take around 20 films to a desert island (one with a 58" Plasma and 7.2 Suround like home lol), that others will or will not agree with... personally my top films are the following (which does vary and isn't definitive apart from Shawshank staying the best film ever made, the others tend to vary in ratings due to my mood [rofl]). I'll be ready to be flamed alive... I'm sure there's others I've not listed here...
  1. Shawshank Redemption
  2. Bladerunner
  3. Gladiator
  4. The Green Mile
  5. Predator
  6. Brotherhood Of The Wolf (watched in subtitles)
  7. Nikita (watched in subtitles)
  8. Beauty & The Beast
  9. Once Upon A Time In The West
  10. The Crow
  11. 28 Weeks Later
  12. Kick Ass
  13. The Rock
  14. Rocky IV
  15. Insomnia (Pacino Version)
  16. RoboCop
  17. The Prestige
  18. The Terminator
  19. Sunshine
  20. The Wrestler
Ones I know are Classics, some easy viewing that cheer me up... some real thought provokers... some sad... all a little varied I know... but if you asked me right now which films I'd take, this list would be close.

EDIT: After putting this list together so easily, it does show just what and how many great films are out there! Sure there's another 100 people could add to this list?

You probably should, my taste is beyond most.

It is sad you will never enjoy the finer things in life.

I would recommend you Transformers 3, it might be more to your liking.
I do love the patronising nature of your replies, superb... you almost look like you have intelligence there... hidden quite well though... but think there is something there.

However as for Transformers, nope... I hated every one of them, sorry to disapoint pal.
