Bit of a problem

I've got an infection in my gum, it not killing me as such but has made the bottom part of my face swell up to the size of a golf ball.

Right so do i go docs get some antibiotics & hope it isn't a prob with any teeth which i don't think it is.

Or do i go to the dentist, which could end up needed a tooth rip out or something to which i can't afford right now, as all my monies this month have gone on getting the car sorted ie new clutch and Clutch Master Clyinder & don't need a massive dentist bill on top of what im already paying out.
Sorry, I am not up to date on this post. So, I will only reply to the first post. =D

I had the same problem couple years back. But you go to the dentist. They remove my rotten tooth, not sure did they cut my gums. But once the rotten tooth was out, then the gums will slowly heal. I wasnt able to really eat hard food for a long time. Very sad. Q_Q..

you could always youtube and watch what they do: Oral surgery - Endodontist cutting out abscess infection from swollen gums /watch?v=JswE8y2x0Ag

you should also watch Rotten Tooth Extraction on youtube. I think it took like 2 months for me to heal. The gums growing back, covering up the hole.

1 more thing. better to do it asap, than later. Maybe a chance still to save the tooth.
