Also, did you get any stitching for yours? My dentist said the hole was too big. So, it was no point, just let it heal.

No, I had to keep some gauze on it for about an hour and then it clotted over. The hole was massive as it was the second molar. My worst fear was getting dry socket because I had it taken out about 3 days before going on holiday.

It still feels odd having a gap there. I think I'll get a bridge.

And since you're getting it treated, here's a tidbit - dental abscesses are a common cause of cardiac surgery.

I seem to remember you being a dentist, or something like that? Surely he could have made an educated guess at a week?
