If this forces ISPs to do the filtering, everyones bills are just going to increase and ping could drastically increase.

Need to just start the ball rolling on encrypting all at least most internet traffic. I think that even a basic low level of encryption would be enough with all the amount of data that goes through ISPs to discourage opening it up. Plus would they even have the legal right to open up encrypted files, even with a basic and easy to crack encryption?
