That's all well and good but doesn't solve piracy, just a very good option to get music. And no risk of downloading something and paying to repair the PC.

Piracy is here to stay. Create good enough content and people will spend their hard earned money on it. Making content easily and readily accessible has done wonders to lessen piracy (i.e iTunes, amazon, Steam etc).
