why do you want a "healer" anyway?

sounds like a ghastly African evangelical practice, if you are stricken physically - visit a doctor. If you are spiritually malnourished - do more Dhikr and nu'afil.

Surely the advent Islam liberated mankind from such primitive fixations with "healing"...

did perform Ruqja, somebody correct me if that ain't so. Jinn can possess a human's body - proven with the Qur'an and the Sunnah. Only the ignorant or arrogant will object this.

if you had never been possessed by a jinn, for you probably have no idea what's it like. For if you did, you wouldn't be so against the healing, which BTW is established by the Sunnah.

PS And about the weird sufi dancing, rolling, etc. I can't help you since I don't understand that either.
