Our position has been VERY CLEAR from the beginning . We want nothing short of a total political separation .
I think the bottom line is that we will do all we can to keep Somalia united.
So if separatist want to cut open Somalia than they better get ready to fight us hard in the courts. We at least have a responsibility towards protecting the unity of the Somali people by standing against this.

And if the internationally community does accept the views of the separatist. We would be the first to accept whilst patting ourselves in the back for our best efforts in trying to keep Somali people.

But the fact remains is just how much the views of the separatist is slowing down Somalia's and the Horn of Africa's progress towards stability.
Creating Somalia number 2, with the world having enough on its hands with Somalia itself is very troubling.

Somaliland has been a peaceful/democratic and stable entity for more than fifteen years but i don't think that should qualify it for recognition.

This was Somalia 30 years ago and we all know what happened to Somalia.
So who really knows the disastrous consequences that could occur by creating Somalia number 2?
