On the eve of 'Id, 1st Shawwal 1433; 18th August 2012, we received the news of the demise of Hadhrat Mawlana Ahmad Muhammad Garda

of Laudium, Pretoria (SA). The Janazah Salaah was performed on the day of 'Id after the 'Id Salaah at the Dar al-Salaam Center in Laudium. Hadhrat Mawlana

passed on at the ripe old age of 95 years and served the community for over 50 years. He studied in Dabhel, possibly under the likes of 'Allamah Kashmiri

and 'Allamah Shabbir Usmani

.He was the maktab ustadh of many of the 'Ulama of Laudium and South Africa including the likes of Mufti AK Bhoola (student of Faqih al-Ummah and zimmedar of Tabligh), Mawlana Riaz Hassim, Mawlana 'Abd Allah Jeena, etc.

May Allah fill his qabr with nur and make it a garden from the gardens of al-Firdaus. Ameen.
