LOL its definitely not just an internet-thing.

i have had conversations between a kenyan and some ethopians. The sentiment is the same. According to them aframs are lazy and waste the opportunities of america.

An ethopian lady told me, " we werent conquered and enslaved like those weaker nations"

at my work there are alot of africans, and i've heard this sentiment as well, but not very often, and i've seen blacks and africans hang out together alot there. the only real criticism i hear is that A. they don't know about their roots and B. that they complain too much about the poverty here.

really though, its more or less a non issue. and LOL at africans complaining about laziness. try telling an african about a deadline, they don't understand the meaning of the word. most africans i know have no sense of urgency with their work. it gets done when it gets done.not really laziness, just they have a laxed attitude towards working.
