Technically even though they are Carabli by surname they shuold have other African ethnic groups in the mixture, seems like the colombian pacific coast had alot of Togo/Benin/Nigerian influence, as well as Congolese/Angolan. I'd guess most of these people have all those mixtures, however they might sitll be pred. southeast nigerian (Carabli) MAYBE in DNATribes they will be most similar to Igbo which are part of the calabar ethnic groups brouht over as Carabali, if they had Efik's they should as well.
Yes, I believe that would be the case genetically but I would like one of the WA posters to say if they can be placed in Nigeria today or not, or do they look too African mixed with various ethnicities to just be one ethnicity phenotypically in SSA today.
