This is cool MK! I have a 4th great grandmother whose last name was written as Ohenia/Ohene. We think it might be a form of the Akan Ohene or Ohenewaa, which apparently is a name connected to some sort of Chief.

Yep, wouldn't surprise me. Akans were brought to those British Caribbean colonies. I tell my woman all the time, that she's basically Nigerian and I ask her when she's going to visit her mother country
