Apparently the tennis centre at Burswood is going to be where the new stadium is going to be built. Great to finally get a decision but there are still a lot of BUT's.

They are reporting a capacity of at least 60 000. Our ever increasing population demands much greater than 60 000, more like 75 - 80 000. I hope they aren't going to restrict building this stadium within the area where the tennis centre is. There should be no amount of land spared to build this stadium to get it right so entry into and out of the stadium is easily managed and done as quickly as possible. The people entrusted with the building of this stadium need to have a good look at the MCG and Etihad to see how it's been done over there. I've never been to those grounds but have heard it many times how easy it is to get in and out of those stadiums and away to public transport and car parks etc...

They are only going to get one shot at this and they better not scrimp and cut corners. This needs to be done right and done with not just the current population in mind, but the growing population over the next 30 years.
