This is not an anti-Japanese statement, however, its well-known that a lot of Japanese people are not very friendly towards foreigners, let alone non-Asians.

That's not to say every Japanese person is xenophobic and/or racist, but their culture is very isolationist, and as a result, many are suspicious of foreigners (and I'm not talking about greedy Western business men trying to exploit them as they were modernizing at the turn of the century, because most cultures reject those types to a certain extent. I'm just saying non-Japanese people in general).

This is why in most of their entertainment, characters are mostly Asian while there are not many White people and very few Black people.
