They pretty much segregated themselves from everyone else. I dont think they could escape discrimination because they were labeled by their race by the government.

It was the US government who created the "Seperate but Equal" policy, and Aframs lived in unqual conditions compared to WAms. Thats a seriously ignorant statement you made. My grandparents head to deal with Sundown Laws in California where they could be arrested.if they where in a White neighborhood at night.
