Well I guess that's because you are predominally Spanish and you probably feel better among whites than you'd feel among "Laura en America" Peruvians...
and I also guess you had a different education and culture than the majority of Peruvians who are very Amerindian

Knowing the language (and being willing to speak it constantly) can help a lot. Some retards among my countrymen have 20+ years living on the States and even so have absolutely refused to learn the language. Idiotic to put it mildly.
