My personal perception is that Northern Euros, Central Euros, and Eastern Euros are white. Southern Euros are close to being white, but not quite white enough for me to group them in my mind with Northern Euros and the like.

The area in which I live holds a similar view as well. Northern, eastern and central euros are considered white with little suspicion. Anyone with dark skin and hair who isn't descended in some way from Africans, is considered "some kind of mexican" until informed otherwise. Southern Euros are usually described by their country of origin rather than just "white". Also alot of people in my area believe that Spaniards look like Mexicans.
