that was back in early 90s where the foreign origin population was way smaller than it is in the present. Nowadays with the influx of africans and arabs would have it produced changes in the perspective that a central european looking dude with dark hair and eyes could make it to be considered true white in sweden?
The foreign population wasn't way smaller back then than it is now. It was smaller, but not way smaller. There was lots of Iranians and Chileans for example living in Sweden then. The infamous Rinkeby existed as well, and had the exact same reputation as it does today.

Like I said:

Not so long ago, I experienced an Italian guy getting called "that immigrant" ("immigrant" means "non-white") by a Swede.
That Italian guy wasn't darker than Ausonius. About the same, I'd say.
