I think there are more South Asians up in Norcal so that could be it. More extremely attractive girls up here as well as less than average just because of sheer number. Your tastes also probably have something to do with. Indo-Trinis are definitely quite different than your average Indian American. It's not just about traditional vs. Caribbean culture either in my opinion. There are plenty of westernized and liberal South Asians in the US.

I've noticed the differences. Indo Trinis have a bit more "swagger" in general compared to the Indian Americans over here in So Cal.
