That totally depends on the ethnicity.

Sicily is 98% Sicilian, but we're a diverse enough bunch to keep things interesting.

I think multiculturalism is a good thing depending on the country and whether or not the immigrants contribute to or damage the moral and cultural fiber of the host nation.
