According to the dictionary: "Racism is the belief that the genetic factors which constitute race are a primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race"
That is a stupid definition since one can be racist without believing in the absolute superiority of any race. For instance I'm racist and I think whites have a superior culture but are not absolutely superior, in every way, to all other races. Here is the politically incorrect definition of racism :

"Racism: The desire to live, work, marry and mingle with one's own kind: A nearly-universal desire and virtual law of nature, often expressed as 'Birds of a feather flock together', and denied only by liberals who live and work in areas much too expensive to have any more than a token number of minorities. Racism is so ingrained and universal that it is reflected not once but twice in our language: The word kind (type) and kind (nice) have the same origin, as does the word like (similar) and like (appreciate), from which we infer that we like those whom we are like, and we are kind to those of our own kind. "--- John Bryant

Considering it's one of the most multicultural countries in Europe, I highly doubt there is a deep set racism there. Prehaps discontent over liberal immigration policies. Hell, most English people can't decide whether they're British or English - hardly a deep set concept of race.
Since the act of the Union between Scotland and England (that created Great Britain) there ideally should only be a North Briton and South Briton identity, no ?
