This is US territory now, not USA, it would be like teaching Alaskans about Russian history.. you can cover slightly that it was once mexico as they do, but what more can you do?

1/3??????? is Chicano?????? lol 1/3 so, italian immigrants, british, and I guess Canada is the other 1/3, yeah okay.

I want latin americans to have an American Mentality not a Mexican Mentality because it is one that delivers success, they need to let go of their roots, keep whatever was good from Mexico, but leave the bad and embrace America.

What bothers me the most is that most Americans are too passive to even back me up, they wont even read this thread.

Yes, 1/3 of the land has shared history with Mexico and Chicanos. I didn't say 1/3 was Chicano. Re-read if you have to. What is so hard to understand about that?

Oh please, you know CRAP about Mexican mentality, history, identity, anything. I've seen your posts and honestly, you don't. Whatever your made up Mexican family members do doesn't apply to Mexico. Btw, Mexicans and Chicanos are very different, if you didn't know. And as I mentioned before, my ancestors have had A LOT of shared history with USA...especially the region I'm from. It is ridiculous to deny it and I'm not even Chicana.

Chicanos have more of a right than you and they belong to those places a lot more than you. Who are YOU to say anything when THEY have been born there, their ancestors, and their people have been there before the territories were even "American"? Hazme el favor.

I have friends whose families have been in the same territory for many generations prior to most "Americans" and they're still treated as second class citizens and now their history is going to be denied. I should invite one in here and see what he has to say.

It is also ironic you're mentioning this when you have said yourself you feel like a foreigner in your own country.
