90% of Salvadoreans in USA are american citizens, the new Salvadoreans coming in a very small amount, less than Mexicans and you probably confuse the Guatemalans who come in at a larger rate for Salvadoreans. El Salvador has a population of only 5 million, if they immigrated at the same rate as Mexico it would be a ghost town.
