The bulk of Indian who have "Australoid heritage" fall rather in between Caucasoid/GracileIndid and Weddid/Australoid. Seldom do you find extremely Weddoid individuals outside of Adivasis and Dalits anywhere South East of Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh. And the South is also rather stabilized and in between (Melanid) rather than predominantly Australoid, save Tamil Nadu.
She is not referring to the race, she is referring to the skin color. For example many South Asians are darker than many Nigerian delta people, we all know South Asians are mainly Caucasoid but many of them are very dark in skin tone if not black .

You can see these Sri Lankans are darker than these Igbos

Her question is why are Sub Saharan Africans considered 'black' when many of us are not literally 'black'. My Igbo dad has yellowish skin colour and he is lighter than many Sri Lankans.
