Well religion is a major issue if a person is religious. If one side is religious regardless of what her/his religion is it would create problems.

Yeah, but I think the situation between Muslims and non-Muslims, in the UK at least, is very different to the situations involving other religious groups. Honour killings are almost exclusively committed by Muslims.
