I agree with the overlap between us and West Africans, as the majority of Aframs could pass somewhere in West Africa. But as a whole, theres more of an obvious difference between us and West Africans when you add these people to the mix.














Add that to the fact that two dark skinned relatively unmixed looking Aframs could have children that look like this.





That's what makes the difference between us and our West African ancestors more obvious than with White Americans and Europeans.
I will say that since Afro americans tend to have admixture from europeans more so than west africans so their phenotype/genotype isn't nearly as affected by Western europeans, Rather each other and north africans, and a small percentage of Western europeans/

When scrutinized there is a distinction. Ethnicity by ethnicity African Americans Do tend to to look distinguishably different. But even then there are at least a few a West African ethnicities that I think the Vast Majority of AA would be 95% indistinguishable from... the igbos are one of them
