I'm a lot more 'racist' online than I am IRL, so if I'm anything to go by then racism online is not a true representation of the level of racism in society. I think a lot of online racist remarks are gratuitous snipes at the politically correct establishment which has restricted freedom of speech in the outside world; people blow off their general anger at feeling hamstrung by the system by being outlandishly offensive.
Yes, but they're more like cowards because most of 'em wouldn't say it to their faces or admit that they're racist.
