I never got it. Whether it be Latinos, some pakis and indians, Middle Eastern people, and a small number of Southern Europeans or w/e, I have experienced it a lot in just talking to them.

Many of them admire pale skin and look up to it as great YET they hate any skin color darker than theirs, some even hate their own skin

is this just my experience?

Nonsense.

Many Iranians, Turks and Arabs, look down upon pale skinned western Europeans, and see their neighbours as more acceptable (take intermarriage or intercultural bonds as a criterion).
