I don't know, I never considered the Turk to be a different race even though he was fairly brown. I'd say white, black, Latin, native, etc.
Yeah but in terms of blood and [probably] cultural attitudes I'd have more in common with a White American who was of predom. English ancestry with some Native blood than I would with a Spanish-American or an Irish-American. For a start the Anglo would be Protestant, the latter two would be Catholic.

Doesn't native blood sort of 'get a pass' in terms of American Whiteness?

Is 1/16th or 1/32nd red Indian blood enough to exclude someone from being White?
