Do you honestly believe Haiti has the bureocratic capacity to gather this data when they are unable to take care of their own people? Shelter, food, clean water, disease prevention, law enforcement are all lacking in Haiti, yet they misteriously are able to provide information on murder rates.

It's just bullshit.
Re-read my post. Haiti didn't compile the data, they do not release data on crime statistics as much like you mentioned they are very ill-equipped to do so. The U.N. compiles all of Haiti's crime statistics (they're the only known group to do so).

No, Haiti has an area of 27,750 km2 and Dominican Republic of 48,442 km2. The DR ocupies two thirds of the island which make it larger than Haiti.

In population Haiti has 10. 188. 000 milion people and the Dominican Republic 10.090.000.
Come on mayne, you know I was referring strictly to population size. Also, don't forget that Haiti lost a sizable amount of people in the earthquake (I believe it was roughly 200,000).
