I'm not saying all East Asian males are a bunch of queers, but as a culture they are generally more accepting of such behaviour than Europeans. There are paintings from hundred of years ago that depict males being a little bit too friendly with each other, painting such things in Europe would have been unthinkable.

I'm not too familiar with East Asian culture, but they don't have cultural aversions to a lot of practices we would consider detrimental to one's country (i.e. miscegenation). It hasn't served them badly because they are very powerful and I don't think there's any danger of Oriental culture dying.

Plus there's the influence of Christianity that we have which they, largely, don't.
