Yeah, I wouldn't get involved in political discussions with any dodgy Irish American people, except over the net. They are more nationalistic than the actual Irish.

I'd read about the Westies before, but I haven't seen Sleepers; in fairness don't they kill that guy for non-gang related reasons (according to the synopsis it was a more personal thing).

Yeah, the character they killed raped them in juvenile hall (kid prison) when he worked as a guard.

Reagan was a Mick though, if the Irish were ever going to back a Republican it would surely have been him! Bush family FTW! Reagan was also Scots-Irish.
