And the concept of "There are 10 souls, a generation later there are 30 souls, a generation later there are 300 souls, and they're all reincarnated" makes much more sense.

In Gnostic schools, it's taught that souls split up, dividing to go into several new bodies. But souls can't be thought of as individual entities like bodies. It doesn't make sense at first but so does a lot of stuff in Christianity, Islam, Judaism etc... gotta be why one has to commit to some research
