Do you have any studies on the differing salaries between men and women in your country? I ask because people nowadays often assume that if there is inequality of outcome between groups it must be due to unjust discrimination. I would like to know how many hours those women work and what exactly they do as compared to their male counterparts.
Regrettably, I don't have any studies at hand regarding my country, but from what some private sector colleagues of mine have told me, a male economist working for any of the banks based on the country can be paid US$5,000 per month, while a female counterpart doing the same wins only half that. Sadly, we don't have the salaries paid per worked hour regime you people have in the States, so people here tend to work 8-9 hours a day, five days a week.

Is domestic violence against women a moral norm in your country? In my country, it's practically acceptable for women to hit men. Women are also more likely to use weapons when they abuse men. Men are even prosecuted for defending themselves against violent women. Check out these statistics on domestic violence against men.
In the capital, it's a mixed bag, but in the provinces it's a moral norm, specially among the peasantry. If a woman commits adultery, it's expected of the man to hit her, and even kill her and the male rival, depending on the time she has spent cheating. Now, if a man is adulterous, he's more often than not seen as a "macho man" and a modellic citizen of the community, even though people might rail against him on the pulpit.

So single motherhood is only the fault of men in your view? It has nothing to do with the decisions of irresponsible females who bear children with irresponsible men? It has nothing to do with contemporary moral norms which accept single motherhood and promiscuous women who have children out of wedlock as a norm?
Yes, because the majority of the males here dislike using condoms at the moment of making the old in-and-out, so they frown on the female whenever the woman demands them to put it on. Regrettably, lack of education (and self empowerment) makes women here be unable to discern when the man she's dating is a scumbag. I'm talking about the lower classes, of course, cuz' women from the middle classes and up are pretty much liberated and westerrnized.

Is this really what makes life hell for women as compared to men in these countries?! How do the hardships you mentioned measure up to the hardships I mentioned for men? Does being more likely to be murdered, sent to war, tortured and sacrifice your own life for the life of women and children count for nothing?

I apologize if I exaggerated on my previous post, cuz' I should have pointed out that the cases on the Third World vary between the countries currently at peace and the ones engaged in warfare.
