I know what kind of unlikeable pretentious snobs Indian immigrants in the US can be... aunties gossiping, parents comparing you to other people's children, always worrying about not losing face, etc. it can be a big, big burden. Either just get over your family and accept things the way they are or severe any links with your family as soon as you are capable of sustaining yourself.

Also, get over that race-changing bullshit, you're Indian. No amount of Fair & Lovely creams to turn you white or negroplasties will change that, you'll just turn into a circus freak.
