Actually, in sheer numbers there are twice as many French-Americans than French-Canadians...as a percentage of the US population though they obviously make up a very small percentage. Ireland is pretty woggy...its been invaded so much that no one is quite sure what an actual Irishman looks like. The "classic redhead" is actually a Nordic trait. Supposedly a true Irish is short, stocky, dark-eyed, dark-haired (and curly), basically Southern European. In fact, the old Gaelic word for Ireland was Iberu- which is an homage to Iberia, where supposedly the Irish came from.
