I agree with you about commercial breaks, I can't watch very tactical sports such as football or baseball (they seem to be aethernal)

However, soccer atmosphere varies a lot depending on the place. If you go to Real Madrid stadium -Santiago Bernabeu- you get the impression you are in the theater. Only a few radicals sing and support during the whole game.
