The two go hand-in-hand in this case.

Sicilians look like Levantines and Greeks because we are Levantines and Greeks.

And I think the average Iberian looks more similar to a Welsh, English, or French person than to a Sicilian, Calabrese, Greek, Levantine, Albanian, or Maltese.
