I'm not familiar with Chinese culture or subcultures but I assume it has something to with the gender disparity in China. Men will put up with more if there is a lot of competition for a mate, but like I said, I lack familiarity.

Anyway, this woman is like the anti-Anodyne. If I was a comic book hero, she'd be my mortal enemy.
