I agree. One of my friends was seriously into drugs a few years ago (she moved away last year). I knew her family and they were awesome, her dad especially was a great guy.

She always used to hang out with the wrong people and that's what got her into drugs. Her dad found out what she was doing and who she was in contact with, and broke her boyfriends arm, literally beat him to a pulp, and two other boys who were with him. Her got charged for attempted murder, he's still in jail now. I feel so sorry for him, he was a great father.

She was 17 and her boyfriend was 21...he was giving her alcohol, drugs, etc. She kept relapsing and running away from home with him, It came to the point where her mom called me and told me to stop hanging out with her because she was afraid I would get into trouble.
That is a common story where I'm from; it's pretty pathetic on the part of greater 'Society' that Law protects little douchebags like that. I probably would do the same as that girl's father did… but I'd also HOPE to teach my daughter who to avoid to begin with. It's not always that easy though.

Sometimes it seems Law protects criminals more than citizens…
