Isn't South Africa sometimes thrown in there, because English is the primary language?
It's arguable in the case of south africa. They also have as primary language afrikaans which is mostly derived from dutch. Also considering South africa has never been predominantly british/irish but there were as many if not more dutch and germans. also quite a few french hungenots.
