Well technically both Rock and Techno have Blak (American) roots. Rock & Roll or R&B as it was ounce called (when performed by "black" people) was based on Blues. Techno, in the correct categorization is an offshoot of House music, and Electro Hiphop as well, both of which were created by Blaks. Electro is closely related to hiphop, and House was the popular music for "African Americans" in Chicago, often homosexuals. Techno can trace it's "genetics" back to House. In fact most forms of popular music originate amongst "African Americans", and now are listened to by every "race", so I don't think music can be very "racial", in terms of genetics, but surely it is cultural.
