lol I'm not used to hearing Europeans talk about other European immigrants. Are most of Norwegian immigrants Euro? I was citing western Europe because they have a plethora of non-Euro immigrants that are much more visible and are complained about a lot.

So you'd like to cap immigration period, even to other Euros? I get this sense from posting here that Scandinavians regard even other Europeans as foreigners. I know the idea of pan-Europe is a myth and all but it's still shocking to see.

Since 1970, the immigrant population from Nordic countries and Western Europe has increased modestly from around 50,000 to around 120,000. In the same time frame however, the immigrant population from outside these regions, has increased dramatically from barely anything to more than 420,000 (137,572 from Eastern Europe, and 284,246 from Asia, Africa and South America).[1][3] During the course of just the first four-year term of the ruling Red-Green Coalition regime (2005–2009), the immigrant population of Norway increased by 41%, or 143,300 persons. From 1998 to 2008, the non-western immigrant population has increased 41 times more than the total population.[2] plus lots of unregistered children of immigrants etc...most of my immigrant friends are Chilean, Arab, Vietnamese and so on...

and yes all non-norwegians are immigrants to me..but i feel very close to Icelandic, Swedish and alittle lesser to Danish and British people..
