I don't know who is who in Europe but Americans seem to have the most advanced double standards. I think that Europenas have not similar double standards, but obvious problems with the present immigration. It is only the question of a different solution for the same problem. Europeans don't speak about races, Americans use words like anglos, latinos etc pointing those and them. It is strange for Europeans.

How one talks doesn't matter. Results matter.

Minorities in the U.S. live at a higher standard of living, have more political and social power, have more authority in society, are better represented in top business positions, and more educated than any minority group in Europe who is non-indigenous European.

Truth hurts, but we talk about things, because Americans are practical. We expect racism, religious discrimination, etc. So we take active steps to help decrease it as best as possible.

If you don't do census on ethnicity and race, if you don't talk about issues, you have no clue what is really happening in society.

I would rather live in a society like in America, than France, where they say everyone is equal, but it is pretty obvious non-whites are discriminated against, but you can't prove a damn thing, because there are no statistics too look at, so you can go to court and provide evidence. if someone doesn't say something directly you have no case.

Fuck that.

That tells me of a society in denial or one not actually wishing to protect its own citizens (but will talk a lot of bullshit about equality)...

I absolutely agree with you Viking on this. A lot of people may claim to be equally accepting of others, but when it comes down to it, most of it is just talk.

For example someone here pointed out that Americans seem obsessed with race, but it actually comes more from non-whites (blacks, hispanics, asians) than it does white people. In fact here most White people stand up and support non-whites, however these actions are rarely returned.

From personal observation, most white Americans do not discuss race all that often, and rarely, and I mean RARELY, ever use racist terms. However it is pretty much the norm for non-whites - in particular blacks and hispanics, to talk constantly about race, and degrade whites and at times each other. The usage of derogatory terms is pretty common from non-white Americans.

So while I'd like to say that White Americans are pretty much accepting of anyone for the most part, you'll find that there are more non-whites unaccepting of anyone but their own kind.

This is the biggest bunch of bullshit I have ever heard in my fucking life.

White people in America don't need to talk or think about race, because they are the majority. Duh. The only time the majority will obsess over another smaller weaker group is when they are literally afraid of them (hence all the Jewish hysteria). The average white man does not have to think if he walks in a job interview if he is going to be discriminated against, he rarely has to think about walking into a room and the only person who looks like him is his self and people turn around and look, he does not have to worry if someone accuses him of stealing in a store, so he might want to leave his bags at the front of the story. So yes, that is a benefit to being part of the majority, many of these things don't cross your mind.

But to pretend that all the racism is with minorities is complete and utter bullshit. Every single year there are cases of disrimination at some major company or other and it is almost always white people against some minority. I remember one case of a Hispanic suing a city because he was discriminated against by blacks, but that is VERY RARE.

Here is the situation.

10% of white Americans might be racist, maybe 20% of black Americans are.

White Americans make up about 200 million people, blacks make up 40 million.

So that means 8 million blacks are hardcore racist in a population of 300 million people, where 20 million whites are.

Then think about the chances that a white compared to a black is in a position of authority over someone of another race. Then think about how likely you are to run into the racist black or the racist white...

This is why historically racism in and of itself is not a big deal, it is the power to enforce it. You think I give a damn if I walk outside if every white person on the street "loves me" or even "likes me"? Fuck no.

My concern comes in when a white person who has power exercises that bias against me due to race in a way that hurts my standard of living. That is the issue. If that white man calls me a "nigger" or not, is immaterial. If he calls me a "nigger" at home and keeps promoting me, giving me raises, etc. Who gives a fuck? I don't want to hang out at his fucking house anyway.

You need to understand social dynamics, your understanding seems to be that of a child. Until recently, the average black man, or Hispanic, but for physically attacking a white man had next to no power over him in a society, so however racist that black man was did not matter, and the average white man did not need to think about him.

THe average black or Hispanic definitely need to think and care about what the average white person thinks and says because there are more of them in powerful positions to make decisions that will directly fuck up your life.Just in the last 40 years there have started to be minorities in those positions of power. YEs, you bet, some of them are racists, most of them are racist because of what they perceive has been done to them or their family by the majority., in the past. Is that right to discriminate against you or someone else for that reason? NOPE, it is fucking evil, but that's how people are. So those people should be punished as well.

However, to sit and say that oh it is all the "minorities" you are full of shit or fucking ignorant.
