Christians target "poor people" first..because they are easily convertable and no one even realize that Muslims are being converted to Islam. Also , Christians stay "under the radar" ...whereas Muslims shout "We converted this many Christians yayy" ..and this alert the native Christian populations and they become hostile to Islam...

Also brother , what is the situation of dawah in South East Asia? Are there any Islamic apologists or Islamic preachers? Are there any famous Islamic channels in native languages? How effective they are? What don't Muslims convert poor non-Muslims to Islam etc?

Islam must wake up to the threat of Christianity now..Christian apologetics have got smart and they use Qur'an to prove Christianity right... Average Muslims don't even know about apologetics at all...

In Indonesia, Christians target poor people too. But they do not aim "mass target", come to village then spread food and money to people. Anti-Christianization units would know it and then take an action. There are many Anti-Christianization units that established by Muslim organization in Indonesia, also Malaysia. They are effective enough to counter Christianization toward Muslims.

So, Christians aim personal target, like a poor family or poor a person. It's not too easy to detect "conversion operation" like this. In many cases people around the target be suspicious and report it to nearest Muslim organization. But there's always cases that missed from other people attention.

How about da'wah in South East Asia?. In Malaysia, Brunei, and especially Indonesia, you can find masjid in everywhere. Of course, there are many Islamic preachers, Islamic teachers, scholars, etc. If you need Islamic book, CD, you can find easily in many stores. There are many Islamic event too.

But it doesn't means Muslims in this area are pious. Many of them just "ordinary Muslims" but their iman are strong enough to prevent the leave Islam. Except some people who trapped in poverty.

Why Muslim do not try to convert poor non-Muslims?. Convert with money is not Islamic way.
