I was listening to a shaykh the other day, he was mentioning that once a mureed came to a shaykh and told him that he really desired to see Rasulullah in his dream.

The shaykh told him alright, what he had to do was leave his Fardh salaah that night.

Now the mureed found it way to hard to leave the fardh salaah, so he decided he would would the fardh salaah and leave out the sunnaat.

That night he had a dream of Rasulullah who said something to the effect that "Mera kya qusoor hai ke meri sunnat ko chor diye" ie what fault is it of mine that you left my sunnat?

Basically the Shaykh was trying to explain that dreams while are a booster, but they are not the maqsad.

As for the sister, I recommend she relates the dream to a proper alim and not on the forum. It may be a cause of envy and jealousy.
There are two types of jealousy: one type is halal in islam --- from book of Imam Gajjali
