If you have a shaikh ask him. If not then make mashwara with people.

but my personal experience is that makkah is very restless and madinah is very peaceful. You can sit here easily than there.

When you said "Ahle Zikr" it includes all tasawuf people. He would have said the same thing. My shayk has gone to pakistan and no contact with him. I just started in tasawuf and have lots simple questions. inshAllah i will ask when i meet you. (Naqshabandi silsila)
