They explicitly state that you may not copy the DVD ... I suppose you could argue you're not 'copying' the DVD, but I think the argument would not go very far

Edit: Netflix did indeed change their plan to unlimited streaming; however, it undoubtedly is '1 stream per account' and lower quality, and I would presume they are able to do so because they negotiated that cost with the folks in the movie selling business... it's certainly not the same as keeping a movie in ripped format.
