This 'study' is typical attention-seeking band-waggoning bullcrap. ZOMG modern life is teh baaaadnesss, mmkay?

Dominated? I don't think so. That's hysterical overkill. I doubt many here have a diet 'dominated' by sugar.

The life of a middle-age peasant was one of unremitting misery, squalor and serfdom, punctuated by plague, crop-failure and witch-hunts.
